Ingredients

1½ cups long-grain white rice (300 g)

3 cups water or beef broth (720 ml)

½ teaspoon salt

1 pound ground beef (450 g)

1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons tomato paste (30 g)

1 cup beef broth (240 ml)

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions

Cook rice with water or broth and salt; fluff and set aside.

Brown ground beef in olive oil; drain excess fat.

Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.

Stir in tomato paste, spices, and beef broth.
