Description

A creamy, warm, and comforting dip inspired by classic jalapeño poppers, made effortlessly in the crockpot and perfect for sharing at any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 16 ounces (450 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (240 g) sour cream
  • 2 cups (200 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 to 4 fresh jalapeños, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup (60 g) crushed buttery crackers
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Dice the jalapeños, removing seeds for milder heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  3. Stir in cheddar, mozzarella, garlic, and seasonings.
  4. Fold in the jalapeños.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased crockpot.
  6. Mix crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle on top.
  7. Cook on low for 2 to 2½ hours, stirring once halfway through.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve warm.
