Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined (450 g)

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon cornstarch (8 g)

1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)

⅓ cup honey (110 g)

3 tablespoons soy sauce (45 ml)

1 tablespoon water (15 ml)

1 teaspoon cornstarch (3 g)

4 cloves garlic, minced

½ teaspoon grated ginger

1 teaspoon sesame oil (5 ml)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions

Season shrimp and coat lightly with cornstarch.

Whisk all sauce ingredients together until smooth.

Sear shrimp in olive oil until just cooked; remove from pan.

Simmer sauce until thickened and glossy.

Return shrimp to pan and toss to coat.
