Description

A savory, slow-cooked beef smokies appetizer packed with bold Mississippi-style flavor, perfect for game days and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef smokies sausages
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet (1 oz) au jus seasoning mix
  • 8–10 mild pepper rings, sliced
  • ¼ cup pepper ring brine
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place beef smokies in a greased slow cooker.
  2. Add cubed butter evenly over the smokies.
  3. Sprinkle ranch seasoning and au jus seasoning on top.
  4. Add sliced pepper rings and pour in the brine.
  5. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 1½–2 hours.
  7. Stir gently and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust pepper rings to control heat level.
  • Keep on warm setting for serving during parties.
  • Leftovers reheat well in the slow cooker or on the stovetop.
