Ingredients
4 cups cooked chicken breast, diced (about 1 ½ pounds cooked chicken)
2 cups diced turkey ham
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese (8 ounces)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Spread 4 cups diced cooked chicken evenly in the dish. Top with 2 cups diced turkey ham.
Sprinkle 2 cups Swiss cheese and 1 cup mozzarella cheese evenly over the meat layer.
In a saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Whisk in ¼ cup flour and cook 1–2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in 2 cups milk and ½ cup chicken broth until smooth and thickened, about 4–5 minutes.
Stir in Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Pour sauce evenly over the casserole layers.
Mix panko breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl.
Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture over the casserole.
Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
Freshly shred cheese for best melting results.
Let casserole rest before serving for thicker consistency.
