Ingredients

1½ pounds ground beef

4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced

1 medium yellow onion, chopped

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup

½ cup whole milk

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon paprika
-
1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté onion until soft. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Season and drain excess fat.

Mix condensed soup and milk until smooth.

Layer half the potatoes in the baking dish, followed by half the beef and half the sauce. Repeat layers.

Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

Uncover, add cheese, and bake 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Rest 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
