Description

Tender chicken coated in a glossy, sticky sauce served over fluffy rice for a comforting, crave-worthy meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups long-grain white rice (300 g)

  • 3 cups water or chicken broth (720 ml)

  • pounds chicken thighs or breasts (680 g)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)

  • ⅓ cup soy sauce (80 ml)

  • ¼ cup honey (85 g)

  • ¼ cup ketchup (60 ml)

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (25 g)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 2 tablespoons water (30 ml)


Instructions

  • Cook rice until fluffy and set aside.

  • Cook seasoned chicken in a skillet until golden.

  • Whisk sauce ingredients and simmer until thick.

  • Toss chicken in sauce until coated.

  • Serve over rice and garnish as desired.
