- 2 pounds beef or turkey smokies, sliced
- 16 ounces processed cheese, cubed
- 1 cup non-alcoholic malty cooking liquid
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire-style sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- Grease the crock pot lightly and add the sliced smokies.
- Combine the processed cheese, cheddar, and cream cheese, then add them on top of the smokies.
- Pour in the malty cooking liquid and add all seasonings and sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Add cornstarch mixture if a thicker sauce is desired.
- Switch to warm and serve directly from the crock pot.
Notes
Stir occasionally for a smooth sauce and adjust spice levels to taste. These smokies can be reheated easily and kept warm for serving during parties or gatherings.
