A rich, creamy slow-cooker appetizer made with beef or turkey smokies, melted cheese, and bold seasonings that deliver big flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef or turkey smokies, sliced
  • 16 ounces processed cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup non-alcoholic malty cooking liquid
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire-style sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Grease the crock pot lightly and add the sliced smokies.
  2. Combine the processed cheese, cheddar, and cream cheese, then add them on top of the smokies.
  3. Pour in the malty cooking liquid and add all seasonings and sauce.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add cornstarch mixture if a thicker sauce is desired.
  6. Switch to warm and serve directly from the crock pot.
