Description

Soft, warm, and perfectly salty pretzel bites made quickly with simple pantry ingredients. Ideal for snacks, parties, or cozy evenings at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (110°F / 43°C)
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cups water
  • ¼ cup baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1–2 teaspoons coarse salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 1–2 minutes.
  2. Add flour, salt, and oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead dough for 2–3 minutes, then divide and shape into ropes. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil, add baking soda, and briefly boil pretzel bites for 20–30 seconds.
  5. Place on a lined baking sheet, brush with butter, and sprinkle with salt.
  6. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 8–10 minutes until golden.
